Short version: the grades and numbers you type into GPACalcZone never leave your browser. There are no accounts, we set no cookies, and the analytics we use count visits without identifying you.
What you type into the calculators
Every calculation runs in your browser. Your classes, grades, credits and settings are not sent to us or to anyone else.
So that your work is still there when you come back, each calculator saves its inputs in your browser's local storage (under names starting with gcz:v1:), along with your light/dark theme choice. This stays on your device. You can remove it with a calculator's Clear button, or by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. If your browser blocks storage, the calculators still work — they just won't remember anything.
Share links
When you copy a share link, the calculator's inputs are written into the part of the link after the # (the URL fragment). Browsers never send the fragment to the server when they load a page, so the data in a share link doesn't reach our server, and our analytics strip it as well.
The data is encoded, not encrypted: anyone who has the link can see the grades in it, and so can the app you send it through. Only share it with people you'd show your grades to.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they use. It doesn't use cookies or local storage and doesn't track you across other websites. It records the page address (without the # fragment or any query string), the referring page, your browser and device type, your country, and how fast the page loaded. We only see these as totals.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the technical details of each request — including your IP address — to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. We don't keep server logs of our own. GPACalcZone itself sets no cookies; Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie if it needs to check for automated traffic. Cloudflare's handling of this data is described in its privacy policy.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use them only to reply. Messages to contact@gpacalczone.com are forwarded to our inbox by Cloudflare Email Routing. Ask us and we'll delete the conversation.
What we don't do
- No accounts or sign-up.
- No advertising or tracking cookies.
- No selling or sharing of personal information — we don't collect any to sell.
Students
GPACalcZone is made for high school and college students and isn't directed at children under 13. Because the calculators don't collect personal information, using them doesn't share any with us.
Changes to this policy
If what the site collects changes, this page will be updated before the change goes live, and the date at the top will change with it.
